FAQs - Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Breakfast Committee of Anne Arundel County Scholarship
Was the winner of this scholarship announced at the Dr. Martin Luther King Breakfast in January?
No. Applications are being accepted until March 16, 2016 and the winner will be announced in April.
Are are all ethnicities and nationalities eligible to apply for this scholarship?
Yes.
I see the Annapolis Trust is focused on providing scholarships to first-generation-to-college students. Do I have to fit this description to apply for the Dr. MLK Committee's scholarship?
No. This scholarship is open to ALL Anne Arundel County seniors who will be attending a 4 year college in the Fall 2016.
I do not see your scholarship organization listed with the College Board. Can I send in a copy of my SAT scores as printed from my account? (or ACT scores)
Yes. The Annapolis Trust has applied to be listed as a Designated Institution for SAT scores but until we are, a copy of your score from your account with the College Board is acceptable and should be included with your application. This also applies to those who have taken the ACT.
My counseling office gave me an application with a different due date - when is the application due?
That was our mistake and we apologize for the confusion. The application due date is March 16, 2016. This means the application must be postmarked or at our office in Edgewater by March 16, 2016.
